Watch the thrilling story of the Mars rovers unfold on the giant screen in this remarkable journey to the surface of the Red Planet. Roving Mars chronicles the design, launch, and successful landings of NASA's robotic Mars rovers Spirit and Opportunity. Offering unprecedented visuals and amazing computer-animated depictions of the rovers’ arrival on the Martian surface, the film dramatically portrays the considerable obstacles NASA faced in launching and landing the rovers on time and within budget. Viewers witness first hand the highly skilled engineers at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory as they address each challenge and possible contingency, the tension escalating as touchdown draws near.
Ultimately, of course, Spirit and Opportunity far exceed their mission expectations, becoming one of NASA's most triumphant achievements. Greatly outlasting their life expectancy of 90 days, the rovers continue six years later to scan the surface of Mars, sending valuable data and spectacular images back to Earth.
Winner of the 2008 National Academy of Sciences award for best science film, Roving Mars was produced by Academy Award-nominee Frank Marshall and features narration by Academy Award-winner Paul Newman.

Dinosaurs Alive!
Tue.-Fri.: 2:00 p.m. Sat.-Sun.: 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m.
Dinosaurs Alive is a global adventure of science and discovery featuring the earliest dinosaurs of the Triassic Period to the monsters of the Creataceous Period "reincarnated" life-sized for the giant screen. Narrated by Michael Douglas, the film uses state-of-the-art CGI to bring dinosaurs, their behaviors and their ancient environments to life. Viewers witness dinosaurs locked in mortal combat, nesting in colonies, protecting their young, and facing catastrophic forces of nature.
Interwoven throughout the film is a real-life scientific adventure that looks at the field of paleontology and the finds that have revolutionized our understanding of these creatures that once dominated the earth. Audiences watch as the work of recent expeditions to Mongolia's fossil-rich Gobi Desert is juxtaposed against fascinating 1920s archival footage of paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews -- a larger-than-life adventurer believed to be the inspiration for the Indiana Jones character. Also highlighted are the breakthrough discoveries taking place under the towering red sandstone buttes and rock chimneys of northern New Mexico's Ghost Ranch. Here, erosion has revealed rock layers containing remains that stretch back some 220 million years. For young paleontologists, Dinosaurs Alive is sure to spark imaginings of what mysteries still lie buried beneath our feet.
