After-School Programs

OMSI's hands-on science programs can be tailored to your after-school needs.  Programs typically run 1-hour per week for six to eight weeks and can accommodate 24 students.  OMSI provides an enthusiastic and experienced science instructor, assists with program selection & scheduling and provides all program materials and supplies.  Your school or organization discusses program selection and scheduling in advance with OMSI, coordinates after-school site facilities, registers participants, and provides at least one staff member or volunteer on site as support.  OMSI after-school programs can accommodate up to 24 students.

Set-Up Requirements

After-school programs typically require 30 minutes of advance set-up time and clean-up time.  Most programs require a classroom size space with tables or student desks and chairs.  Astro-Adventure requires the use of a 25 foot square open floor space with a 12 foot ceiling.  3-2-1 blast off requires the use of a large open outdoor area for rocket launching.  Some programs may require floor space, water access, electrical outlets, and/or a projection screen/white wall.  Your scheduled educator will inform you of their specific needs in the week prior to your first program date.
