The Museum

Founded in 1944, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is one of the nation's leading science museums. OMSI offers 219,000 square feet of brain-powered fun through hundreds of interactive exhibits and hands-on demonstrations. OMSI has five exhibit halls, eight science labs, a giant screen OMNIMAX Dome Theater, the most technologically advanced planetarium in the Pacific Northwest, and the USS Blueback submarine, the last fast-attack diesel-powered submarine built by the U.S. Navy.
 

Education Programs

OMSI offers a variety of educational programs, including the largest science outreach education program in the United States. Our traveling programs (i.e., outreach programs) takes innovative science education "on the road" to students, teachers, and the public in five Western states. OMSI also offers professional development workshops for teachers, distance learning programs, and works in partnership with schools and districts throughout Oregon. Learn more.
 

Science Camps & Classes

OMSI offers all-day Science Classes for grades 1 - 8 and overnight Science Camps for ages 7 - 18 during spring break and all summer long! We also offer incredible adult and family camps. Learn more.
 

Exhibit Production

OMSI has one of the largest traveling exhibit programs in the country. Its creation of innovative, interactive, and engaging science exhibits has earned an outstanding international reputation. OMSI exhibits have toured the U.S., Canada, Europe, and the Middle East.
